Fall in BG

Fall in Bowling Green means walks through our wonderful parks.
Simpson Garden park has really fun public art that is created by local university students, high school students, and community artists.  It is displayed and then auctioned off after a period of time.

The flower displays are amazing.  Local civic groups adopt portions of the park.  They plant and maintain the various sections.
Sometimes art is donated back to the park and becomes part of the permanent display.
It is the location of many Eagle scout projects as well as civic groups who build benches, maintain paths, add lighting, and pull weeds.  We have truly enjoyed this little paradise in the middle of our small town.

The park also has a children's area with whimsical art and interactive displays.
We found a corn maze here!  It was really fun.  We happened to go on a Saturday in the fall when they were having a costume competition.  The Mad Hatter got our vote!
Gary was trying to figure out if they would notice if he took some corn home with him.  ;)
Lexie's friend Madion did not understand the obligitory "which way should we go?" shot.
If he would have been standing up straight, you can all see how much he as grown in the last 3 years!

Both of the boys look like young men now--I can't believe it! I imagine they will shock me with their stature and deep voices AGAIN when I come to visit!!

They are so excited to see you! Brandon was dragging out his home improvement projects until I told him you were coming--highly motivated to get the house all pretty now. They love you so much--we'll have to check your luggage for stow-a-ways before you go home. ;) I am thinking Gary will be the most likely candidate--oh wait, maybe he can give you a ride home (since he may be headed in that direction about that same time period)!
