My Funny Quirks (Bethany Tagged Me)

I'm supposed to list 5 quirky things about myself. I decided to do this post because I think often times we view others as perfect or having the perfect life. It's always refreshing to find out people are just human with their own silly quirks. So feel free to leave comments of your own quirks!
Here goes:
1. I am extremely forgetfull. Seriously, I have to make lists all of the time. I will forget what I am saying in the middle of a sentence or when I walk into a room.
2. I have crazy food cravings. They are cravings of something that I must cook and I am obsessed until I have made the item, cleaned up the kitchen, and shared with my family! Luckily Alyssa and Brandon share my same quirk and often we all 3 have the same craving at once. Clam dip anyone?
3. I love to eat out for lunch. I am a sucker for little hole in the wall cafe's. The food usually sucks but I am always so eager to try them anyway. Luckily I am too poor to go very often but when I do it is totally my guilty pleasure! Panerra currently ranks highest on my list (I think I have eaten there a whopping 2 times).
4. I hide my toothpaste from my kids. I have my own tube and no one is allowed to use it! I also consider it a major quilty pleasure to waste 3 minutes of hot water while I stand in the shower to brush my teeth.
5. I am a complete and total sucker for getting my hair brushed. My kids use this knowledge to completely manipulate me into staying up late, watching movies with them, reading to them longer. I will let them pretty much get away with anything if one of them is brushing my hair!
I tag Michele Catten, Leisa Hokanson, Carrie Wallace, and Jennifer Hales! Let's see who has the funniest quirks, shall we? ;-)

Beautiful Clean Bedrooms

After days of cleaning the basement I moved on to the kid's bedrooms. Gary worked so hard painting and trimming their rooms and I finally helped them get all of their stuff organized. They were all really good sports about the whole ordeal and I think they look so nice I had to blog so you could all see how cool their rooms are!

Alyssa and I were very proud of ourselves for mounting her mirror on her dresser yesterday. Now we don't have to have a heart attack that it is going to fall and break any given second!

I don't know which was tougher--mounting the mirror or putting together the clip lamp my mom got Alyssa for Christmas. Both were worth the effort! She stayed up most of the night reading in her little spot.

Brady loves his walk in closet but none of you are allowed to see in it. Rest assured--it is as clean as the rest of his room.
Mom, the curtains are so perfect (I don't know how well you can see them in this picture)! Thank you. I am going to go get more rods and etc. next week so I can do Brandon and Alyssa/Lexie's rooms.

The black bean bag is a sad imposter of the black Luv Sac that Brandon had asked Santa to bring him for Christmas. Hopefully it will grow and gain some Denver Bronco detailing by the time his birthday arrives in April.
We ran out of wood, time and money before Brandon's trim was hung. He likes the funky line and wants us to leave it. When it is warm enough to stain in the garage again I am afraid that the wood will be hung.
Brandon spent one whole afternoon of Christmas break putting together my new coffee table. I was so excited. It is so nice to have such a handy son! Now I want more put it together yourself furniture!
Thanks Brandon.
You can see from the coffee table pictures that my family room looks like a bomb exploded in it. After the basement and bedroom projects I am now ready to put away Christmas stuff. Lexie is really sad. She wanted to leave the tree up until after her birthday on Jan. 19th. Originally I agreed but then I got bit by the cleaning bug. We took a lot of pictures of her by the tree and she is choosing which one we will print as an 8 x 10 to frame for her friends to see at her party. Here is the one that I like best so far.
