Easter 2010

We take egg dyeing very serious at our house.
3 hours.
5 dozen eggs.
We don't just drop 'em in the stuff and walk away--oh no!

We swirl, we paint, we tie die,...
And then the bunny hides them, so we can hunt,
and hunt,
and hunt,
AND HUNT! Ok, we also squished a few on the sidewalk. ;-)
We ended the day by having bbq'd pork chops and baked potatoes, green salad, jigglers, and apple pie! Yummy!
We were still finding some of the 70 plastic filled eggs on Tuesday!

OSU Campus Visit

We went to Columbus yesterday to tour some of the venues where Alyssa plans on spending a lot of her time. Sorry for the yucky pictures--cell phone was the camera of choice since we knew were would be doing a LOT of walking!

The day started in a huge auditorium. The band played for us and the football coach and some players came and talked to the kids. It was really fun to see Coach Tressel interact with his players. He is a very charismatic man!

Of course, the first tour we scheduled was to see "The Shoe"! The stadium tour was first and it was AWESOME!! They took us to all the places that aren't usually open to the public, game day suites, locker rooms, recruiting room, varsity player alumni room.

I loved the structures of the campus, at 60,000+ students--it is bigger as most towns Alyssa has lived in!

This is the rotunda as you enter the front doors to the stadium.

This is approaching the front doors to the place where Alyssa will live. She was accepted into the Biological Sciences Scholars Program.

As a member of her scholars program, she gets to live in this really awesome dorm with all the other scholars community. They take block classes together and have activities, field trips, study sessions, etc. I think it looks like my princess finally got her castle!
